In the beginning it was just an idea, or let’s say a feeling, that kept growing while I travelled around in several countries.

I love my job as a kindergarten teacher very much. Dealing with children of all cultures is always a great pleasure for me. Again and again my desire to help pushed me to actively promote education and opportunities for personal development of children from disadvantaged regions.
In southern Senegal, I made the experience that many children have no chance to visit a kindergarten or school and thus they have no prospect of a secure future. So I made ​​the decision to take action and tackle my project in this region.

I consider it important that the charity founded for this is politically and religiously independent. Furthermore, the project shall meet the needs and assort with the culture of the local children and families and will be supervised for many years. Also, the kindergartens funded by the Association, should be recognized by the State in the foreseeable future. Another concern to me is that the donations flow as directly and fully as possible into the project. For incurred expenses that benefit the project only 5% to 10% of the donations are used.

A big “thank-you” at this point goes to our president Werner Brunner. He is engaging himself with lots of passion, trust and confidence in this project on behalf of the children. He is a very helpful support in the practical execution and realization of this project and the creation of "kindergardens4senegal". Thank you also to all the members of our association, as well as to all the people who offer moral support and who volunteer with various services.
